First lady over the line from a UL College was Emily Moss of Royal Holloway in 2nd, the rest of the top five from UL college runners were: Isabel Brinsden (Holloway, 4th), Emily Bliss (UCL, 11th), Ella Fuller (UCL, 13th) and Shannon Colman (King's, 14th). The top Imperial runner was Sophie Kirk in 19th and they had Josie Bowler and Imogen Keane in 21st and 27th.
Ladies Team results
St Mary's take up the top two spots in the team competition but hot on their tails are King's in 3rd, only one point behind in 4th are UCL, so it looks like a tough fight to be the top UL college this season between the two traditionally strongest teams. Imperial College aren't far off the pace in 5th. St Mary's IIs, Brunel, King's IIs, Reading and UCL IIs close out the top ten.
Mens race
St Mary's dominated in the mens race: speedsters Daniel Woodgate, Paul Thompson and Josh Grace crossed the line together in a blanket finish in 26.58, thereafter St Mary's runners closed out all of the top 13 places in the mens race before Stuart Campbell of Brunel broke the pattern in 14th.
UL Colleges individual results: Mens
First man over the line from a UL college was James Pigot in 16th, the rest of the top five from UL college runners were Nathanael Tamaillon (LSE, 21st), Patrick Hough (UCL, 24th), Chris Lloyd (UCL, 33rd) and Rob Walker (Barts and the London, 38th). The top Imperial runner was James Ellis in 18th and they had Chris Thomas, Reuben Bogg and Sam O'Neill in 25th, 31st and 32nd.
Mens Team results
St Mary's, of course, dominate the top four spots. After the first round Imperial (5th), Brunel (6th) and UCL (7th) look to have a strong teams. After losing the legendary Jonny Laybourn to the real world UCL's James Pigot has taken up the baton with a fine first run. Barts and the London (11th) are in a distant second place from the UL colleges and will duke it out with LSE (12th), UCL IIs (13th) and King's (15th, having lost LCL stallwarts Mark Dellora, Tom Grimley and Hugh Salway over the summer) through the season.
Well run everyone, see you at Richmond Park on the 31st!
